However, many marketers around the world have come up with definitions as to what content means. Having read them, it boils down to one thing and that is that content needs to be eye-catching and needs to reach out to the customers via SEOs.

Marketer Heidi Cohen described content as follows:-

“High quality, useful information that conveys a story presented in a contextually relevant manner with the goal of soliciting an emotion or engagement. How do we value SEO content?

Google is said to process almost 3.7 billion searches in a day. Now that is quite a lot. When we talk search engine optimization, Google has the answer for you:

When Larry Page and Sergey Brin formed Google in 1998, they came up with a mission that stated thus:

“Our Mission: Organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”

Although their mission is the same as of today, the manner in which they organize informed has seen a change.

Google has gone on to say “useful and relevant results in a fraction of a second.” When we look at the wording “useful and relevant results” we find that Google is definitely trying to point out that they deliver portions of content that are available throughout the internet. These portions of content are ranked by their order for people to make use of in SEO.

Your content needs to be useful, engaging, creative, carry a high degree of credibility and be of high quality. Let’s take this one at a time:-

1. Useful – If you are bringing out a site for a fashion boutique, then you need to bring out the products in a engaging manner, giving your location and that of your branches, contact details, opening hours and definitely the blog articles on your products.

2. Engaging – Bring about color and have your website project what you are. You need to have images of your products, your team and management. Remember that you need not have too many ads on your website as it distracts potential surfers, which they might find disgusting and time consuming.

3. Credibility – Note that whatever you put on your website needs to be credible and not a lie. Many websites say one thing on their website and on real life they are something else.

4. High Quality – You need to have a unique, and high quality website which is your own creation and not something outsourced. Your website should project exactly who you really are.
